What is a wedding photography shot list?
As photographers, we will indeed document as many moments as possible, but if you have something in mind that you specifically want to capture, curating a list can make it happen. We know how busy you will be on the day itself, so having a guide provided to us beforehand is an assurance that no shot will be forgotten.
How do you create a wedding photography checklist?
You don’t have to be as detailed as possible. Photographers will always take photos of the best moments, but you can always indicate the shots you are very excited to have captured. More so, inform us about little details with significant meanings that you want to include. It can be a necklace given by your parents or a present provided by your soon-to-be spouse that you desire to emphasize. If you still don’t know what to list, highlight 3-5 shots that you want to put in a frame and display in your home.
Why do you need a wedding shot list?
Providing a shot list makes it convenient for everyone to know what to expect. For Sofia and Juan’s Red Rock Canyon wedding, having a guide for their family and friends’ portraits made it effortless. Hence, that gave us more time to capture images of the couple with the magnificent desert glow. This also goes to their simple yet classy reception at Nora’s Italian Cuisine, where group pictures were taken. In addition, specific details of their decoration at this Las Vegas wedding venue were also photographed for them to remember.
Have in mind that without a list, it can be challenging for a photographer to remember every group shot and individuals names whom they have never met. This could work if you want to have candid shots alone, but if you desire to have portraits with specific guests, you should include a wedding photography checklist!
If you like how Sofia and Juan’s photos turned out, feel free to contact us so we can discuss your photography needs! We will be delighted to document your special day for you and help you tailor the perfect wedding shot list.
